good ad v bad ad

good ad v bad ad

When watching TV, I sometimes get halfway through the adverts and forget what programme I was watching before the break, Obviously I like watching ads from a creative point of view, but some really good ads tend to hold your attention longer than others.

My favourite “Good ad” at the moment is the John Lewis “Never knowingly undersold” ad (see Lindsey's blog from 30th April). Every shot has a touch of class to it and the flowing scene is brilliant to watch again and again, which unfortunately can't be said for the next example!

My “least-favourite” ad is Oven Pride (see above). The general idea of the ad is that Oven Pride is so easy to use “even a man can do it”.

I think there is a clear winner in the good ad v bad ad competition!
