Liquid recently attended the Museums and Heritage Show in London’s Earls Court. Now in its 15th year it is a firmly established event for everyone working in the world of museums, galleries, heritage and cultural attractions. Bringing together suppliers and operators in the sector it exists to supply solutions, ideas and inspiration. Liquid were there to impart some of their own inspirational ideas on how to make the most of a marketing budget in what is an increasingly competitive sector.
Lindsey, our Client Services Manager, gave a seminar to a packed out room of marketers from attractions across the UK and internationally. The snappily entitled ‘Practical Advice on how to increase your visitor numbers through marketing communications’ discussed the importance of customer engagement in increasing visitor numbers. Lindsey explored how museums can make more of highlighting what they have to offer with some practical advice on how to increase footfall and effectively engage the public through creative marketing solutions. It was a great success and very well received by the large crowd.
The liquid team also hosted an exhibition stand. The stand saw a lot of traffic over the course of the two days. We received a number of very interesting leads and we're looking forward to talking with these companies again in the coming months. Thank you to everyone who attended the seminar or came to see us at our stand, it was great chatting to you. We hope you enjoyed it.
As Lindsey says, “We had a really good time. The heritage and museum market is very much part of the fiercely competitive leisure industry. As such it has to be a lot more proactive in getting visitors through the door. I’m on a mission to help the heritage industry realise the opportunities that are open to them and how they can use marketing to their best advantage. And based on the great feedback we have had, it seems a lot of the advice will be acted upon.”
