The quintessentially British art of tea making has always been central to liquid’s rise to success: we are a company fuelled by tea. Tea gives us inspiration and ideas. Yet there was always a fundamental problem: who would make this tea? This question led to lots of bickering and backbiting, some hair pulling and even some tears (but that’s enough about Gary). That’s why www.makethetea.com has been a godsend. With this simple yet wonderful site the kind people at Cravendale have provided the perfect answer to our tea making problems.

Once everyone in the Client Services Team had entered their details the site chose the person who would make the brew round. A kind of tea version of Russian Roulette, if you like. Danny is the tea master but has been subjected to some slanderous allegations with regards to fixing who will be chosen (despite being barely able to work a computer).

These baseless whinges have mostly come from Gary Armer whose run of bad luck knows no bounds: he has been asked to make a staggering 1 million cups of tea by the unforgiving tea machine (OK, maybe it’s closer to 105 but it feels like a million to Gary). This may be the result of some karmic equilibrium as his bi-brewing antics (switching continuously between tea and coffee) have not gone down too well in the office. Kate and Anthea (with her constant demands for tea) are next in the list with Dawn feeling unloved by the brew master as it fails to acknowledge her tea making ability. Alison has never been asked to make the tea, or so it feels.

Come to think of it maybe it hasn’t solved any of the arguments...
